The Scrumpy Way
Owner & Founder of 'Scrumpy Pig', Richard Brant who was originally from the West Country growing up near Taunton in Somerset moved to the North West of England in 2004 to the beautiful county of Lancashire where he has now settled.
The inspiration for the name of the business is through this upbringing in the heart of Somerset. Richard grew up surrounded by traditional cider farms with endless rows of apple orchards covering the scenic landscape and Richard has many vivid memories of tasty hog roast feasts washed down with jugs of local Scrumpy Cider. It is with this in mind that we wanted to offer the same experience to others, hence the creation of 'Scrumpy Pig'.
All our food is freshly made giving a taste explosion that will not only create a lasting flavour in your mouth, but also a lasting impression with your guests.

The seed had been planted putting pen to paper and creating the first business plan for Scrumpy Pig
3rd March Scrumpy Pigs first ever hog roast at an event at Buckshaw Village, Lancashire
Provided our first full wedding catering service with the introduction of our mini Dutch pancake menu
Opened Scrumpy Pig - The Farm Shop at Botany Bay in Chorley specialising and producing our own brand of delicious sausages and beef burgers
Purchased our custom-made BBQ Smoker and introduced the Smoke ‘n’ Grill hot food menu to the shop
Created our street food menu as well as catering at major festival events from Lytham Music Festival, Liverpool Pirate Festival to the Ideal Home Show in London and Manchester amongst many other great events
